This is the short story and significant experience two friends shared on a weekday evening, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Events occur in real time.
Canto 1:
Roscoe came over to Mitch’s flat with the intention of sharing his recently procured bag of ‘roses’ worth $20. To be perfectly honest, Roscoe didn’t feel like consuming the Roses by himself, which for some reason is not uncommon when dealing with such a plant. Moments after Roscoe knocked on the door, he was greeted by his friend. They went straight to Mitch’s room which had been given great thought as to how best accommodate the need of its inhabitant to ‘chill’. This term is what you could call all-inclusive, in the sense that it’s umbrella shadows the different variations (ex: relax, laugh, talk, discuss, sleep, nap, and the list goes on). Suffice to say, the perfect shrine for a proper ‘first’ with roses.
Canto 2:
Some time after they had comfortably settled into the two armchairs who strategic placement within the room was close to perfect, they decided it was time to enjoy the physical and psychological changes this plant would provide. Both being highly inexperienced, the rose-cigarette which was improvised was sturdy enough to be smoked but really didn’t look like much (if anything, it was laughable). Roscoe lit it (as he was the one who rolled it) and took a few hits. He passed it over to Mitch who in his turn filled his virgin lungs.
Canto 3:
At first, the Roscoe remembers a slight tingling, actually, make that a soft buzz, felt mostly in his arms and legs. The light-headedness which ensued wasn’t the unpleasant type you associate with fainting or a lack of energy, it was more like a soft & cerebral relief.
At this point, Mitch was going through the same initial changes, with the associated increased heart rate and vasodilation. Roscoe remembers seeing a smile creep onto his face, one of surprise, interest and a touch of vague openness. He took pleasure from seeing his friend enjoy himself (if only the world have this phenomenon repeat itself more often).
Side Note: One must always keep in mind that every rose-high or rose-stoned is highly personal. In addition, the exact same experience will never repeat itself, thankfully, as this allows for a never ending discovery of variants of feelings, thoughts and emotions.
Canto 4:
As the night progressed, 2 or 3 rose-cigarettes were consumed. The increased appetite was inevitable and particularly strong. This called for a food expedition which was carried out at the local grocerie store, residing conveniently in front of the apartment building.
Food had never tasted so good. The feeling of satiation was multiplied. The whole ‘trip’ was just that much better because of it.
Canto 5:
The tipping point occurred when Mitch started to notice how the room (which was dimmed right at the start) started ‘fusing’ and ‘distorting’. This was not scary or overwhelming, since he let himself enjoy it. His personality was a defining factor in the enjoyment of such a novel experience which unfortunately for some, and by their own psychological shortcomings, are unable to enjoy such an experience. The discussions both boys had engaged in were filled with curiosity and undeniable open-mindedness which is freely brought on by roses. Mitch was laughing his head-off to put it simply. Roscoe, receptive and himself quite high, replied in kind. You could have cut the laughs in the room with a knife they were so thick. Roscoe told Mitch about how he was feeling the famous ‘gravity’ effect. His body was perpetually sinking ever so slightly into the chair, all the while keeping its position (a paradox understood only when under the influence of roses, or at least, thought to be understood. Where lies the difference you may ask?)
Mitch was ecstatic when his experience was mirrored in Roscoe’s and vice versa.
The “You too??” exclamations were numerous and accompanied by resounding laughs.
The psychedelic experience was mild when compared to ethogens, but the novelty of it all seemingly brought it up to par.
Roscoe and Mitch have since had other nights of excited exchange of ideas and stories while consuming the unique plant that roses are. The beauty of it? Its effect doesn’t fade with use. It does not dictate, it suggests, shows the way without ever pushing. One could say that its familiarity acts as a companion to your thoughts, not as a judge.

A little update
Hey all,
I know, I know., I didn't stick to my new year's resolution... but big friggin' deal, who does anyways? Hahaha...
I do have an excuse though. It's been a really intensive semester and this blog slipped out of my mind. I'm not saying I didn't have any free time, because I did, actually. I just spent most of it being unproductive... but that's another story, maybe for another post.
Now, back to business. I've got a lot of stuff to write about, and I'll get started with it very soon... and this time I will. I'll also get in the habit of posting pictures along with my articles, it's a nice thing to do, not only will it help "feeling" the post, but also, let's face it: a blog without pictures is boring.
Now, I wish I could stay and ramble about my life a little longer, but I have to go. There are 8 people coming over at myne's for dinner and that pizza dough isn't gonna cook itself.

New year's resolution
Hey everyone,
First of all, I know it's a little bit late but happy new year everyone. With the formalities gone, I'll start writing about the serious stuff. Lately, I've been remembering a lot of stories from my childhood. Some are legendary, some are funny, and I think they all deserve a place in this awesome blog. Therefore, my new year's resolution will be to write some of those stories down and publish them on this blog from time to time, so that they'll always be remembered. Many of these stories involve my childhood group of friends, this means that from time to time they will be the ones posting the stories, depending if it involves them or if they remember it better than I do.
That said, I'm very exited about this whole thing but I can't be bothered to start writing them down now, so I'll be posting the first one in a few days.
Ciao

Home sweet home
Hey everyone,
I know I haven't been posting much lately, but there is a perfectly good explanation for it.
I came back to Nice on the 29th of July, exactly 12 days ago, and man were they awesome, each one of them. I can now confirm that my summer officially started the moment I landed here. Being back in France with my childhood friends, chilling and partying with them was something I had been looking forward for the whole month of July. Since my arrival I've been all over the coast, from Monaco to St-Tropez, without forgetting Cannes, Cagnes sur Mer and Juan les Pins. Basically this is what we did:
First, we went to see a football match in Monaco. It was a simple friendly match, with AS Monaco was facing Inter Milan. I didn't really care about the game but it was fun being back in the stadium like in the good old days. The day after that we went to High Club in Nice... Needless to say it was a great night, and me and my friends where able to witness in first person the recent invasion of the coast by the Baltic women.
We then went to St-Tropez, where we stayed at my friend's house for a few days. There we brought chilling to a whole new level, sunbathing by the pool, laughing for stupid things, the usual stuff you know. One night we went to VIP Club. Cut Killer was mixing, and although I was skeptical about a whole night with R'n'B music, I have to say he really know what he's doing when it comes down to turntables. The night was Legendary, and I even saw a friend there that I had not seen in 2 years. It's such a small world, right? The day after that we organised a barbecue and invited some people over, and we all had a great time.
But everything had to come to an end sometime so we drove back to Monaco. After chilling a bit at a friend's house in Eze (that very same friend I hadn't seen in 2 years) me and a friend tried to convince the other to go out, but since everyone didn't seem motivated, we decided it was probably the time to rest a little bit as we weren't able to get much sleep while in St-Trop. We were heading back to the train station late at night when our friends called us saying that they changed their minds, so we quickly went to a friend's place in order to take a shower and quickly change, before heading to Jimmy'z. It was an awesome night once again. The next day, after finally getting the rest we deserved, we all headed back to our respective homes. We then met one more time to organize a second barbecue, and it was even better than the first one.
This is basically, in a nutshell, what happened since the 29th of July until today. There is so much more to say about this little vacation but I honestly don't have any strength left to type the rest of the details.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this little story, I am now heading to bed as a long day awaits for me tomorrow.
Peace,
Stef

Salvia Divinorum
Yesterday, I had my first experience with Salvia Divinorum. It was something I wanted to try for a long time now, but I never decided when... But a few days ago, I decided I would try it this week.
As some of you may know, it is legal in the United Kingdom so I just went to Camden and got some of it pretty easily. While I was there I also bought a small bong as a souvenir you know, as I had never owned one.
Anyways after about 1 hour I'm back at home, with my Salvia 40x Standardised Excract (about .3gr). I sit down, point the phone towards me and set it on record, and smoke it (I used my clipper to light it and it worked, so contrary to popular belief a clipper is enough to burn Salvia).
As I inhale everything and sit back down on the couch, I realize my bed is about 20 metres long. Then I notice my depth perception being affected, as well as my vision. I was able to understand why I was seeing the way I was seeing. A snake started crawling on my leg, but I didn't panic as I told myself that it was just part of the trip. Then a few persons started appearing in my room, and started crafting something, I couldn't understand what it was though. They started talking to me and I thought to myself man I wish my friends where here to see all of this... then I realized that it was all an hallucination so even if they were here it wouldn't change much for them, so I started laughing really hard because I was able to understand that it was just an hallucination, which apparently is a really hard thing to do while on Salvia. Then I turned to my right and addressed the person on my right. I started to tell her of how I was a genius because I understood it was an hallucination, when I realized she was part of it too, and started laughing even harder.
I laughed for another 2 minutes before I could feel the effect wear off. I then stopped the recording of the video and started calling a friend to tell him about it.
Here are some notes about what I experienced in those few minutes:
- The colors where very vivid, and the hallucinations as well. Even sensations where pretty clear, for example I could feel the snake crawling on my leg or various other things that I felt even if they were not really there.
- Your balance is not at it's best but it's ok I was able to walk a little bit.
- One thing that made me laugh is the way you talk when you are on Salvia. Pronouncing words becomes difficult and you make weird sounds that you think mean something while they do not.
It was really a cool experience, to this day it is the best herb I have tried, and it also the safest and less toxic. And on top of that, it's legal.
It's definitely not a party drug though, it's more something you do with some friends to chill once in a month or something.
I gotta go now, I hope you guys enjoyed the story,
Peace

Valerie Party @ Cargo, London
Yesterday I went to the Valerie Party that was held in Cargo, in central London. It was my first time in that club, I have to say that me and my friend were quite impressed. I mean, we did not expect to like Cargo but turns out that the place is good, it's pretty big, there is an "outside" area and a very big dancefloor. There are also a few areas that you can reserve for you and your friends.
The first to come on stage was College, followed by Fear of Tigers, College again, then Anoraak.
It was my second time @ an Anoraak DJ Set, but the first time for all the others, and I'm really glad I went to see them, it was probably the best Live Set I've ever seen. And the fact that it was free made the whole thing better... hehe
Oh by the way, I manage to speak and take pictures with College and Anoraak, here are some of them (I took more than one... yeah I know I'm a stalker hahaha...) as well as some other pictures from the show:

Anyways, check out Valerie's blog, as well as College's, Anoraak's, Russh Chimes's and Fear of Tigers's Myspace pages. The sound is really good, trust me you won't regret it.
Well this post was long enough, I hope you enjoyed it...
Peace

Update on "The Incident"
So, after doing some research and conducting a few experiments, I have found the cause of "The Incident". I think the USB key got stuck in my shoe as I was taking a step, and took enough momentum to just unplug itself and fly away. This is the only possible explanation. The case is closed.
